AN AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE

SALEM University,Nigeria, was honoured yesterday, 8th August, 2021, at the just concluded inaugural session of the National Education Summit & Awards, which took place at the Prestigious Oriental Hotels, Lekki, Lagos. 
This award was given alongside with three other reputable Nigerian Universities with remarkable footprints on the sands of  time in the academia (University of Ilorin, Bowen University, Michael & Cecilia Ibru University) as well as the Riverbank School, Chrisland College, Meadow Hall group and the American International School, Abuja.


SALEM University carted away an award for the category of ‘the Private University making a difference.’
In attendance were Prof. Sulyman Age Abdul Kareem (Vice Chancellor, Universityof Ilorin, also an awardee), Hope Eghagha ( Renowned Newspaper Columnist/Seasoned Professor of English (Unilag) and former Commissioner of Higher Edu., Delta State), Dr. Benson Uwheru (Project Mgt. Consultant), Mrs. Folashade Adefisayo (Hon. Commissioner of Education, Lagos State), Mr. Hakeem Fahd ( Hon. Commissioner for Science @ Tech., Lagos State) and a host of other dignitaries, too numerous to mention.


This very significant award is dedicated to God Almighty.
Many thanks also goes to the Founding Chancellor; one of the biggest promoters of education at all levels in Nigeria, Archbishop (Dr.) Sam Amaga.
