Accounting PGD

Course Overview

Accounting is the systematic process of identifying, recording, classifying, analyzing, interpreting, and communicating financial information to support effective decision-making. The Accounting programme provides students with a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, auditing, taxation, management accounting, and financial management.

The programme equips students with the technical knowledge, analytical skills, professional competence, and ethical standards required to prepare and interpret financial information for businesses, government institutions, non-profit organisations, and other entities. Students are exposed to both theoretical concepts and practical applications of accounting in real-world organisational settings.

The course also develops students’ understanding of contemporary accounting practices, financial regulations, corporate governance, risk management, taxation, accounting information systems, and the use of technology in modern financial reporting.
