Public Administration is the study of how government policies, programmes, and public services are formulated, implemented, managed, and evaluated. The programme equips students with the knowledge and skills required to understand the structures and operations of government and other public-sector institutions.
The course provides a broad understanding of public policy, governance, administrative processes, human resource management, public finance, local government administration, development administration, and organisational management. Students are also introduced to contemporary issues such as good governance, accountability, transparency, public-sector reforms, leadership, ethics, and sustainable development.
Through theoretical learning, practical exercises, case studies, research, and field experiences, students develop the ability to analyse administrative challenges and contribute effectively to public-sector decision-making and service delivery.
