The College of Humanities is one of the Colleges in Salem University established in 2016/2017 academic session that houses the department of English and Literary Studies. It is committed to training of Global leaders who have adequate and irreplaceable knowledge in the rich resources of English language for the holistic (intellectual, emotional and spiritual) development, to function with proficiency and excellence in the art and skills of communications, writing, Drama and the use of English for various functions in the society, as well as to provide solutions to social problems of local impact, while remaining globally relevant. Consequently, a course in English is expected to properly ground holders of the degree in the proper understanding of the various dimensions of language and literary skills needed for excellence in the society. Besides, these, the students will also be exposed to various creative skills for the revolution of practical issues of Nigeria as a Nation. To achieve this, the College have a well-trained lecturers who are grounded and passionate about teaching, and academic leadership, with well resounding academic profile.
